Being naked is an expression of the metaphor of exposing one’s true self. Being naked does not always connote sexuality, but neither does it need to be divorced from sexuality in order to be taken seriously.
Sexuality does not by default need to be demonized, shamed, or prescribed by others. Part of what we seek to do is help untangle this country from our Puritanical roots as well as our commercial exploitations.
Humans are not here to be exploited, but rather supported and celebrated in the full expression of themselves. Sexuality is a prime element of a healthy human experience and should be cultivated with the full power of our creative capacity.
This is not pornography, but this is also not apologetic, timid “erotica”. These are real humans, exploring the honesty of their own feelings in a safe, supported context. These are artists searching for something real…and in the end that something is meant to help you, the viewer, untangle your own self and discover the most supportive and supported expression of yourself. Your pleasures are worth making as commonplace as your struggles.
